Hey, I’m Louis Scott.
I Pray.I Speak.I Uplift.In That Order :)
I’m an exhorter and Christian expository apologist from Austin, Texas.
I just want to be known around the world for my God given gift to inspire the uninspired. I want to help people all around the world realize their gifts, and realize the Christ in them.
Many have asked what I believe or what my statement of faith is about salvation. Well, I hope this gives you a better idea of my understanding of scripture.
What is my motivation:
I’m here to share and/or broadcast the true gospel of grace around the world.
What is my faith concerning salvation:
I believe there is one condition for salvation. And that is belief in the eternally existing Son of God, Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). There is only one thing a sinner can do and must do to be saved, and that is to believe God’s record concerning His son.
Any human being that places their faith in the person of Jesus Christ of the Bible and in His finished redemptive work on the cross … in that moment is immediately & eternally saved from the penalty and the punishment for all their sins past, present and future.
I believe the gospel as declared by the apostle Paul to the church in Corinth:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
[2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
I believe there is one God, who eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:16–17, 2 Cor. 13:14, Eph. 4:4–6).
I believe the good news found in John 3:16, that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I believe that we are God’s “workmanship” (or poiēma in greek), saved by grace through faith for good works as stated in Ephesians 2:8-10. And that salvation is a free gift that no amount of works could ever attain or maintain. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:5,Titus 3:5-7, Romans 5:15,16,18)
Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV
[8] “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
I believe that Jesus is our justification, our sanctification and our reward.
I believe that believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the Day of Redemption (John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 1st Corinthians 15-1-4, Ephesians 2:8-9, 4:30)
I believe that for the believer … the possibility, potentiality, or even the very thought of perishing is impossible by the very words of our savior Jesus Christ Himself in John 10:28 … ou mē apolōntai (shall never perish)
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish (ou mē apolōntai), neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28)
I believe that believing on Christ, is to see and believe the all-sufficiency of His saving grace.
I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). And that All who call on the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved (Rom. 10:13)
Three Questions about salvation:
1. How is one saved?
The ONLY correct answer, is that a person is permanently saved by believing the gospel (which is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ)
2. What’s the proof that you’re saved?
That you believe the gospel
3. How do we base if someone else is saved?
Whether or not they claim to believe the gospel
I believe that just as the words are written in scripture, that through belief in Him … we have eternal life.
“But these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” (John 20:31)
This is my (Louis Scott) statement of faith concerning salvation.
